Examples of Capitalist Gains

Recently I had joined a new server because 2 school mates both played on the server and in 3 years I have not truly experienced the Horde side of the game and I must say that while the alliance has many things that are specific to only alliance (Tunic of Westfall, Furlog quets item that changed you into a furblog, etc) there are much more horde things (like the quest that gives you a run speed buff, the WC quest and the fact that WC has much better twink gear then DM). There are also many differences in racials (esp priest) and there seems to just be more leveling chracters on the server as well that give the two servers a different feeling.

This leads to the telling of a story that first got me interested in REALLY focusing on auction house. I joined a guild that was being created with my priest and while I was at the city collecting all the cloth from guild mates in order to craft them bags I hear about Milk selling for over 50 silver. That made me wonder what items that you can purchase from a vender are selling on Auction and WHY??

Well the milk was selling because of the X-mas quest that required the milk so while undercutting all the people on this server I logged on to the other server and posted milk on there as well. While the amount of silver you make is small it takes no effort. I then went and leveled some characters collecting small eggs from monsters to sell after cooking for the other part of the quest. I would be able to get from 5 gold to 8 gold by selling 5 together. I then had the idea to sell snowballs as well making from 9 silver to 90 silver depending on if someone else would come mess with the prices. The brilliant thing I did however was send THOUSANDS of snowballs to another character. This way I will be able to sell these items with a huge supply and most likely I will be the only supplier to the possible demand.

If you wish to purchase many patterns from venders all over the world and resell at AH then you can make a few gold from it each week!
